Right before I get off work today, I’m going to check my Chase statement… and if the funds are sufficient, I’ll be makin’ it rain so I can grip the most important re-release and/or box set to hit shelves this year – the NEU! Vinyl Box. Sweet baby bear, what a sexy collection of music. All three monu-fucking-mental NEU! albums are preserved and remastered here, but more importantly, the Vinyl Box features two additional releases appearing officially for the first time – NEU! ’86, the most recent studio recordings of NEU! and ’72 Non-Public Test, an intense and previously unheard live recording of the band in Düsseldorf. It also comes with a big beautfiul book (where the above photo was taken from) and a shirt. No, I usually don’t pump products on this blog as much as music and ideas, but this box set is sick and it comes out today courtesy of Groenland Records and your fine local music retailer. I want this at the crib, mach schnell!
