Thank you for posting on Jane, and writing about it so well. It's long been my favorite Lennox project and left me scratching my head why most folks have slept on it. "Agg Report" is unrivaled and brilliant.

I know Panda Bear was really into Wolfgang Voigt's Gas project at around this time and I really hear the influence of Kompakt's more ambient stuff on Jane, especially on "Berserker."

I find Merriweather Post Pavillion really hit and miss too. Besides being spotty song-wise, something about the production is too polished, like by mixing every little weird sound so cleanly the band has been robbed of their personality. I mean, imagine "Visiting Old Friends" mixed like the songs on MPP--it would lose everything that's great about it.
