I saw Fart Dog bear witness during the South By Southwest Music and Film Interactive Conference in the seat of Travis County Texas, Austin, during its installation performance during the Billions Showcase in the mens room at the legendary Antone’s. Fart Dog was truly a wonder to behold. I mean, look at that lil’ guy. Dawwwwwww. He can’t help it, can he? While Fart Dog seemed cute and innocuous enough, upon further reflection, its possible that Fart Dog could be an allegory. My interpretation is that the “dog” represents “Joanna Newsom,” and the “farts” are “each of the three Have One on Me LPs.” I believe that Fart Dog has all the necessary ingredients to be a relevant meme, and I trust Carles will assist me in realizing this goal. Fart Dog wasn’t the best thing I saw at SXSW, but it certainly was better than the band that was on stage at the time. Sorry, Quasi.
