Matt - Thanks for reading. Figured you would appreciate.

Tom - I had nothing to do with the Jonathan Webb/Ramel Bradley bill, though I'm sure it served its purpose (bar sales). I'm glad that your bowels have short and long term goals.

If you're ever in the market for booking Carlos D, just wait until Wes Beltz comes back from Japan and bill him as Carlos. No one would know, except that the real Carlos would in the process of being shat upon by one Thomas D Brian.

Katheran - I heard they started demolishing just in time for the 4th of July parade. How festive. El oh el.

I'm stoked that folks from Lexington are reading this!

Eerie Tuesday-morning moment: 80s and I were reading this post at the same time. Anyway, you should see the block now -- it's totally flat. And it's bizarre to pass the library and immediately see Harvey's, Vine Street, and, you know, general rubble.

Excellent work, Mikey (not on this bit, but the whole magillah). Any article that uses 'easy goer' is damn fine in my book. But in all seriousness, I've been wanting this sort of Dame lore from you for years, but never really knew how to ask. Maybe I didn't feel cool enough.

With that said, I'd like to take a giant shit on Carlos D.

It is truly sick and sad that they've gutted the old block; a sickness and sadness trumped only by what will go up in its stead. But as of late, I've thought that the Dame needed to be destroyed after that Ramel Bradley/Jonathan Webb show. Busters was completely innocent, though...except for some selfish reasons of mine that have no real relevance outside of my own pysche.

What's even more odious is the cicada-like swarm of hipster photographers who have been taking moody shots of the rubble non-stop and giving them "deep," "introspective" titles like "Absence With Memories" or "Becky" or "What Getting Stuffed Into A Locker In High School Felt Like."

I'd like to take a giant shit on them, too.
