Despite the economy, The Decibel Tolls is going through a period of aggressive expansion. For one, I’m proud to announce two new members to writing staff. That brings the payroll to three, which is totally exciting. Also, The Decibel Tolls has moved analog, and is now on the airwaves in Louisville.
First, I want to introduce Xavier Van Zandt (pseudonymn) and Michael Hansen (totally not a pseudonymn). Michael comes to us from Boston, and Xavier is a Yank currently on assignment in the Middle East. You’ve already seen a couple of their pieces, but I wanted to formally welcome them aboard. They… are, like, better at blogging than I am, and I started this blog. A mutiny is imminent, methinks. You can find out more about these fine folks on the About page and/or contact them personally by way of the email listed on the Contact page.
Secondly, I now host a program on the new low-power community radio station here in Louisville, managed by the awesome Brick House Community Center…

The show premieres tomorrow night, Feb. 12, at 10 p.m. EST. If you’re in eastern Louisville Metro, including The Highlands, St. Matthews, Fern Creek, Buechel, Jeffersontown, Seneca Gardens, and the East End, you can pick us up at 92.7 FM. Do it! If’n you’re not, you can czech the stream: wxbh.org. I also plan on posting the entire show and playlist here, so look out for that too.
